The story that is going around now, is that someone drove around for three years looking for a place… Not because the person was lost… Not because the person didn’t know what the dream looked like. Rather because the dream didn’t want to reveal itself until it was ready…
Finally, the roads led to the West Coast. And even though it took 1000 Days to find the dream, the dream’s doors are open and the warmth invites you in.
My friend, there’s only one West Coast, and that’s alright because too much of a good thing isn’t good. Indeed, this West Coast of ours is where things happen slowly and where you can forget about the city lights for a while.

Accommodation
My friend, 1000 Dae Beach House is situated in Calypso Beach, Langebaan, literally a stone’s throw from the beach. 1000 Dae offers convenience-wise everything you and your people would want in a holiday home. The spacious double-storey house has 8 bedrooms and accommodates 16 guests. Padlangs, the upper floor sleeps 8, and Seelangs, the ground floor, accommodates another 8. Ideal for large families or friends to come together and unwind.
The house is within walking distance of Calypso beach, with secure parking on the premises, and many other amenities easily accessible. As we like to say: “Location, location, location.” That’s what 1000 Dae is all about.

Padlangs
Padlangs is on the top floor and has 4 bedrooms. There are 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. The fourth bedroom has 2 single beds and a guest bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin.
The upper floor also features a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, crockery, and cutlery. There is also comfortable lounge area and a TV with DSTV on the upper floor. It has a built-in braai where guests can prepare a meal together.
Seelangs
Seelangs is on the ground floor and has a main bedroom with 2 three-quarter beds and an en suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. The second and third bedrooms each have 2 three-quarter beds, and the fourth bedroom has a double bed. These bedrooms share the guest bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet, and basin.
The ground floor also features a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, crockery, and cutlery.
The lounge on the ground floor offers comfortable seating and a TV with selected DStv channels. There is a built-in braai where guests can prepare a meal together.

Langebaan isn’t called the Jewel of the West Coast for nothing. With its white beaches, moderate temperatures, and renowned lagoon, it’s basically paradise on earth. My friend, this is just a pinch of what there is to do and see here.

Marc's Beach Bar, just a stroll away from 1000 Dae beachfront. Furthermore, there's a wide variety to choose from, such as favourites like Pearly's and Thoban Chefs, not to forget a cheeky mention of the Wimpy.
Water Sports
Look, Langebaan is renowned for its windsurfing and kitesurfing on the lagoon. If you're not a sporty person, you still can't go wrong going to take a spectacular snap or two of how the guys and gals do it.
Birding
The West Coast National Park surrounds the Langebaan Lagoon and is a Ramsar world heritage site, meaning it is of global importance for wetland bird species. Summer is generally the best time, especially September and March.
Flower season
Flower season in the West Coast is during August and September. The West Coast National Park is a great place to visit, and the flower display is particularly stunning at the Postberg section of the park. My friend, you haven't experienced such beauty yet.
Calypso Beach
100 meters from the foot of 1000 Dae, and you land on the whitest beach, with a sunset that is such an experience, that you might as well dust off that #nofilter Instagram hashtag right now.
Kraalbaai
Famous and picturesque. That's where that rock is that looks like a pulpit. Its name is Die Preekstoel. Here you'll get views and scenery that you won't soon forget in your lifetime.
